I finally had a Mommy’s Night Out after 10 months of carrying a baby, moving across country, having my baby 10 weeks early, raising a vivacious two year old, life, and blah, blah, blah. My friend Michelle Gainey extended an invite to an exclusive evening presented by Chambord and hosted by Lemiga Events and TOAST Events. Michelle said that she wanted to show me a good time by giving me a Mommy’s night out and I am forever grateful to her for thinking of me.
After what seemed like forever, I finally had a Mommy’s night that was a beautiful evening where I got to dress up a little, eat some delicious food, drink some amazing cocktails, and have fabulous conversations with adults! Yes, you read that correctly. I actually got to spend time with a room full of adults and not discuss kids. Seems like such a small thing, but if you have kids, you totally understand how glorious of an occasion this truly was!
The evening started weeks before when I received this beautiful custom acrylic invitation. You know that I believe in setting the tone of your event with a beautiful invite that gives a glimpse of what’s in store for your guests. That’s exactly what they did with these invitations that were received in either purple or lime green. If you follow my Instastories, then you saw how excited I was when I opened my invite. My favorite part about the invitation was how vibrant the colors were. It told me to prepare for a fun evening.
Upon arriving to The Westside Warehouse, guests were greeted by good music, hors d’oeuvres, and a variety of delicious cocktails. Hands down, my favorite cocktail of the evening was The Chambord Spangle. It included vodka, genepy, chambord, lemon and a splash of soda.
I got to see some familiar faces like makeup artist Scoobie West, who did my wedding makeup. I ran into event planner Eliana B., who handled the day of planning for my wedding. Seeing them took me back to when my life as Mrs. Daniels had just begun. I also ran into Kayla MaDonna, who unintentionally photographed my maternity photos when I modeled for The Mama Chick T-Shirt line. She was able to capture me in a beautiful light, despite how miserable I was feeling that day (Thank you xo).
We then enjoyed a sit down dinner in a room that had beautiful estate tables. Each setting had lasered name plates that were attached to velvet Chambord books. Also, the tables had gorgeous flowers with charcuterie boards placed in between so guest could nosh before dinner.
You know my favorite part was the food. We had the perfect dish to suit most palettes. On the menu was a rosemary crusted chicken with Italian white beans, garlic and sage sautéed spinach and tomato confit. The dish was a flavorful combination that was perfect for the warm weather because it left you satisfied but not feeling too heavy.
We ended the evening with petit sweets and fun times on the dance floor. Thank you again for such a magical night. This Momma sure did need it!
I know that a lot of my Atlanta readers are planning weddings, anniversaries, and other various events. Luckily, the hosts provided me with a list of their vendors that they didn’t mind me sharing. Thank me later 😉
