Raspberry Rose’ Splash Cocktail
If I’m being 100% candid, this cocktail was made up on the spot. My Mom (who is the gorgeous woman in these photos with me) and I wanted to have a cocktail but did not want to make anything too basic nor too complicated. I had a bottle of Chambord that I had recieved a while back from the You had me at Chambord event, that was just waiting to be consumed. I had been dying to use it, but hadn’t had the time to experiment. Luckily, that day was the perfect day to try out some different concoctions.
After only two tries, my Raspberry Rose’ Splash Cocktail came to life. I’ll just let you know that the first attempt was with regular rose’ and it came out pretty flat. The flavor was good, but it just needed a little pick me up. So on the next attempt I opted for sparkling rose’ and it did the trick!
DIY Dessert Board
For the past few months, I’ve been seeing Dessert Boards galore! They’re pretty much a play on a Charcutarie and Cheese Board, but it’s made with candy, desserts, pastries or fruit instead. It’s truly simple to do, you just want to keep a few things in mind.
- Use a variety of goodies on your board. I included pastries, candy, and chocolate covered strawberries.
- Use sweets that add dimension to your board. Think different heights and sizes.
- Fill in empty spaces. With Charcutarie and Cheese boards, its important to give each item a little space. However, with Dessert Boards, I like to fill in the empty space so that it can look full and plentiful.
- You CANNOT mess up on this. Whichever way your board turns out, is the way it’s suppose to be. It’s your masterpiece!
