I may not be able to enjoy boozy desserts this Summer, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t! Caramelized Grilled Pineapple with Brown Sugar and Grand Marnier is my all time favorite Summer dessert! As soon as we are done grilling our entrees, we just throw this marinated pineapple on the grill next, and it’s ready to consume in minutes!
So here’s the thing, this recipe includes alcohol, and while it is grilled and the alcohol should burn off, I always get slight buzz when consuming it. So because of that, I must insist that you are are of legal drinking age when making this recipe.
Can you substitute the Grand Marnier for a non-alcohol option?
Grand Marnier has turned into the generic term for orange liqueur, so yes, you can use other brands in lieu of Grand Marnier. If you want to substitute the Grand Marnier for something without alcohol when making your Caramelized Grilled Pineapple with Brown Sugar and Grand Marnier, then you can replace with the following:
- Unsweetened orange juice
- One part orange juice and 1/2 part orange extract
