The sweetness of the jam and caramelized onions paired with the saltiness of the bleu cheese and flavored beef in this Black and Bleu Burger with Jam is seriously like a combination sent from heaven! This recipe is simple and gives you a lot of bang for your buck. I especially enjoy the fact that you can make it outside on the grill or inside on your grill pan.

Tips on grilling the perfect Black and Bleu Burger with Jam
- Keep ground beef cold until you are ready to assemble burgers. This will allow for it to cook slower and not dry out. It also provides a perfect melt for the cheese.
- Apply a light layer of oil to your grille grates or grill pan to ensure your burger does not stick.
- Cook burger until it is well seared and you see grill marks on each side.
- Use at least 80% lean ground beef to provide a good amount of fat to the burger. This will help with not drying out the meat, lower your chances of sticking to the grille grate, and it adds more robust flavor to your burger.
