It’s no secret that my Crack Beef and Zoodles is beyond delicious and addictive. Hello! The name Crack is in the title for a reason! This Asian inspired dish is so easy to throw together as you will see in the video below. It definitely is quick weeknight meal that keeps the family happy. It has the perfect ratio of sweet to saltiness to satisfy anyone’s palette.
Ingredients Needed for Crack Zoodles with Beef
Zoodle Alternatives
I first started making this recipe with pasta, and I cannot deny that it was insanely delicious! We were eating it so much that I decided to go with a healthier, less fattening alternative. Hence the zucchini noodles. They’re a great substitute. However, if you prefer other options, you can always consider the following:
- Egg Noodles
- Carrot Noodles
- Linguini
- Rice
Asian Crack Zoodles with Beef
Ingredients
Marinated Flank Steak
1lb Flank Steak
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4c rice wine vinegar
1tbs brown sugar
1tbs Peanut/Sesame Oil
Crack Zoodles
3tbs Peanut or Sesame Oil
3 shallots (sliced) 1tbs minced garlic
3/4c green onion (1/4c for garnish)
1/2c soy sauce 1/2c Brown Sugar
1/2tbs minced chili peppers
1/4c fresh lime juice
6–8 cups of cooked zoodle (zucchini noodles)
Instructions
In a large bowl add sliced flank steak, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, and peanut/sesame oil.Mix well, and sit to the side to marinate.In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2tbs of peanut oil.To the pan add sliced shallots and cook until shallots are crispy.Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and constantly stir to ensure that you do not burn them.Once they are crispy, sit them on a paper towel and place to the side.In your large skillet, bring your heat down to medium.Pour in your marinated flank steak and cook to your desired temperature.Take flank steak out, and place to the side.In your large skillet, bring your heat down to medium.Add 1tbs of peanut/sesame oil.Saute garlic and green onions.Mix in the remaining soy sauce and brown sugar to the garlic and green onions.Add minced chili peppers and lime juice to the pan and mix all ingredients well.Toss in your cooked zoodles.Make sure the sauce evenly coats all of the zoodles.Toss in your flank steak and mix well.Top each serving with crispy shallots and garnish with green onions.
