Traditionally to make a Hot Toddy one would use Whiskey or Bourbon. However, you can also use Rum or Brandy. Whatever you choose to experiment with, just make sure that it is a brown liquor of some sort.

Chamomile Honey Hot Toddy

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Whiskey or Bourbon
  • 2-3 tbs Raw Honey
  • 1 Long lemon zest
  • 1 c Hot Chamomile Tea
  • 5-8 Fresh Sage Leaves
  • Ice optional

Instructions

  • In a short cocktail glass, add whiskey and honey and mix well.
  • Add zest of lemon and 3 activated sage leaves to the glass.
  • Add ice if desired.
  • Pour chamomile tea into the glass and give it good stir.
  • Using a lighter, carefully burn the tips of the remaining sage and add as a garnish to the glass.
  • Enjoy immediately.
