Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle Ketchup

If you’re looking for an easy Sweet Potato Fry recipe, then you are where you need to be. And I also have have you covered with the perfect dipping sauce for them as well. In this post I will be sharing how I easily make my Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle Ketchup.

Confession, I had my first sweet potato fries when I moved to Georgia in my early 20’s. I honestly had no clue that it was even “a thing” until moving to the south. Once I had my first serving, I was hooked on the first bite. I was at a lounge and they served the sweet potato fries covered in cinnamon and sugar. Umm, can we say game changer? Moving forward, I only ever had them fairly savory. Apparently eating them with sugar is a rare thing too.

How to make Sweet Potato Fries

  • Cut the sweet potatoes into desired size wedges. Try not to go any larger than 2 inches.
  • Add extra virgin olive oil. You can also use grapeseed oil. This oil is what is needed to make your fries nice and crispy.
  • Add your seasoning. For my recipe, I use salt, pepper, cinnamon, and optional chili flakes if the kids aren’t eating any. If they are, then I don’t use the chili flakes because it’s too spicy for the kiddos.

BAM! You’re done. Now you just toss and bake, then you’re good to go. Check out my delicious and super easy Chipotle Ketchup below to pair with your Sweet Potato Fries. Disclaimer, the Chipotle Ketchup is spicy, so be mindful before serving to kids.
